About Pellet Road Media

What is Pellet Road Media about?

Pellet Road Media was founded both to provide web site development services and also to be a forum for my various whims. While I do seek and accept web design projects, it is not how I make my living (at this point anyway). I have lots of ideas about things I'd like to pursue and almost all have to do with visual communication; thus, the word media in the company name. I chose the name Pellet Road not because of its association with the unwise and risky driving experiences of my youth, but because to me, those days represent going at life with full gusto. And now, some 25+ years later, I am ready to do so again - albeit from the confines of my home office!

My background

I am currently a programmer for a very large corporation. I have experience programming on both the mainframe and in a J2EE/Java web environment although most development associated with Pellet Road will likely involve PHP/MySQL. At work I am involved but not principally responsible for the look and feel of our web pages; rather, I perform the backend coding associated with the sites. In addition to my technical skills, I also have an MBA from Northeastern University in Boston.
